Marie began her optical career at the age of 14, taking on a Saturday job with Kelly Opticians as a lab technician. Barring a short career break to have her son Bobbi, Marie has been here ever since. A favourite of our customers, Marie uses her extensive experience to assist with any optical enquiry you may have. Her skills in frame repair have also been put to use in her other job, making high quality jewellery with her sister at Karlin Anderson Jewellery Design.
A biker at heart, Marie loves to put her helmet on and ride the roads of Shetland, whatever the weather. As well as enjoying spending time with friends and family, Marie enjoys escaping to her polytunnel, where her green fingers have brought on a cornucopia of fruit and vegetables to adorn the dinner table throughout the year.
